Visiting Walt Disney World In July
July is busy, hot and expensive. If this is your only time to go you need to make sure you have a plan
July is HOT! You will have afternoon showers/thunderstorms. I recommend getting up early for rope drop then heading back for a nap or swim in the hottest busiest time of the day then head back out around dinner time.
The average high is 92 degrees and the average low 73 degrees. There is approximately 7.0 inches of rainfall throughout the entire month.
Remember to always check the Park Hours for changes but here’s the typical schedule
The Magic Kingdom stays open until at least 9 pm every night, but is often open until 10-1 am. During Presidents week and the Princess Half Marathon, it will open at a 8 am.
Animal Kingdom closes anywhere between 5 pm – 8 pm depending on crowd levels. Hollywood Studios also has extended their close times during the crowded time of the month.
There will be minimal ride closures. Splash Mountain is usually closed for all of January for refurbishment but usually, opens by the end of January.
Typhoon Lagoon waterpark is normally closed for their refurbishment during this time of the year.
There’s everything you need to know about visiting Walt Disney World in July.
