Are you planning on visiting Walt Disney World in December? Here is everything you need to know about that time of the year:
December at Disney World means lots of great holiday decorations. The month begins with light crowds and ends with the busiest crowds of the whole year.
Many consider the first part of December to one of the best times to visit Disney World due to low crowds, lower prices, mild temps and holiday decor.
Most people think low crowds means less planning, I feel it’s even more important to plan during lower crowds and figuring out the best park for each day of your trip. During busy times, the crowds are spread more evenly across the parks since nighttime entertainment is offered nightly. December still is a busy time for extra Events. Magic Kingdom closes early many nights.
The end of December has peak crowds and good planning will be necessary to avoid lots of long lines. Traveling to Disney World during a busier time means you have to have a good touring plan.
Since temps can get cool in the mornings and evenings, consider dressing in layers so you’re comfortable throughout the day.
The average high is 72 degrees and the average low 51 degrees. There is approximately 2.9 inches of rainfall throughout the entire month.
Remember to always check the Park Hours for changes but here’s the typical schedule
