Looking for something different to collect while on vacation? Why don’t you try pressed coins? We started pressed pennies when my daughter was 2 on her 1st trip to Disney World. At the time she would yell “Chine Cine” when she saw a pressed coin machine. She now saves pennies all year since we have discovered the certain pennies are nice and shiny and press nicely. These pennies have a shield on the tails side. This is mostly a Riley and Pop-Pop thing but there are times when the rest of us start finding machines. I have pictures of her doing her pennies at pretty much every machine she has used over the years. I love looking at how she’s grown in those pictures. We now have 2 books from Disney to hold our pressed pennies in and on our next trip we may need to buy a new one.
We find pressed pennies all over the place now and Riley HAS to do them no matter what!
To do a pressed penny you will need 1 penny and 2 quarters. Disney also has pressed quarters but that costs a dollar to do.
