As a design manager for Universal Creative, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite on-site hotel (it’s like picking a favorite kid!). But I cannot tell you how excited I am to see Universal’s Aventura Hotel—Universal Orlando’s sixth on-site hotel—come to life in August 2018!
I’ve been an avid theme park goer my whole life, but even I can crave the quiet and calm after an adventurous day in the parks. And that’s exactly what the guest rooms at Aventura will deliver.
I can see myself walking through one of the 600 guest room doors and being greeted by warm wood floors and a sleek design. We selected light wood and white furniture pieces with black trim to anchor the room and added rich pops of eggplant and burnt orange to bring the design together. The floor to ceiling decorative glass panels provide not only a really cool visual element, but also privacy at the vanity.
Speaking of floor to ceiling glass, just wait until you see these views! We included floor to ceiling windows in the design to make the rooms feel bright and airy while giving guests views of all three Universal Orlando Resort theme parks. There will be no shortage of interest at the furthest end of the room. And with Aventura reaching higher than any other hotel we have at our destination, you may even be able to plan out your day just by looking out the window.
If you want a more up close view to plan, check out the tablet in the room. Loaded with the Official Universal Orlando Resort App, you can check park maps, park hours and even wait times. Add in controlling the TV and thermostat and ordering a late night pizza with the tablet, and you’re all set!
If you book your stay right now, you can take advantage of a free $50 hotel dining credit on a stay of four to six nights. Or go all out and book a seven-night stay for a free $100 dining credit.
I know I’ll be there when Universal’s Aventura Hotel opens—how about you? Stay tuned for our next installment of “Behind the Design” as we continue to reveal more details about Universal’s Aventura Hotel.
