New! Magic Kingdom 2017 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dates Announced: Party dates have been announced and tickets for both events will go on sale later this spring. Dates for 2017 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are:

  • August 25, 29
  • September 1, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29
  • October 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29, 31
  • November 1

Returning favorites at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party include the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade and Happy HalloWishes. Dates for 2017 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are:

  • November 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28
  • December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22

Returning favorites at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party include Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, A Frozen Holiday Wish, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration and Holiday Wishes.

New! Specialty Easter Cupcake Available for a Limited Time: At Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll find a special vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream, topped with an “Easter bonnet” sugar cookie sandwich, filled with jam, coated in white chocolate.


New! Specialty Easter Cupcakes Available for a Limited Time: At Epcot, you’ll find two specialty cupcakes. Fountain View has a chocolate cupcake with marshmallow filing, buttercream frosting bunny feet and a tail. And at Sunshine Seasons, a chocolate chip cupcake is filled with chocolate-caramel mousse, topped with buttercream, crushed chocolate cookies and jelly beans.

New! Meet Disney’s Conservation Specialists April 21-23: Cast from Disney’s Conservation Specialists will discuss Disney’s conservation efforts to support butterflies, migratory birds, sea turtles and monkeys, as well as demonstrate some extraordinary ways they are accomplishing this work. Disney’s Hollywood Studios

New! Sneak preview of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales:” Beginning April 21, see a sneak preview of the all-new film at One Man’s Dream. Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the new film “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” This epic tale finds Captain Jack in search of the legendary Trident of Poseidon in order to avoid deadly ghost sailors who are led by the terrifying Captain Salazar and determined to kill every pirate at sea. In his small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his life from the most malicious foe he has ever faced.

Reminder! New! Party for the Planet Returns: Party for the Planet Presented by Disneynature – The annual Earth Day celebration at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is expanding to three full days, April 21-23. Throughout the day, guests are encouraged to connect with nature by engaging in fun activities in every land of the park. Meet some of the animal care experts, educators and conservation specialists to see first-hand how Disney cares for animals and works to save endangered species worldwide. Also, be on the lookout for some specially-themed treats and more!

Disney Springs

New! Portobello Country Italian Trattoria Refurbishment: Portobello Country Italian Trattoria will temporarily close on April 24 to undergo refurbishment. With collaboration from James Beard Award-winner Chef Tony Mantuano, the reimagined restaurant will feature an authentic Italian concept including a family style menu along with craft Italian beers and wines. The location is expected to reopen this fall.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

New! Easter Egg Display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort: The famous chocolate egg displays are back at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Beautiful chocolate eggs are sculpted, painted and ornately decorated by the talented pastry teams at each resort. Be sure to check out the displays before they disappear on April 29, just taking in sights and smells is a treat in itself.

New! Specialty Cupcakes at Disney’s Contemporary Resort: At Contempo Café, they have two specialty cupcakes — The first is a Carrot Cake Cupcake with white chocolate filling and cream cheese buttercream frosting, garnished with toasted coconut and carrot powder will be available until April 29. On April 16, a special Easter cupcake will also be available; coconut cake is filled with chocolate cream before being topped with banana buttercream frosting, white chocolate shavings and jelly beans.

ESPN Wide World of Sports

New! Night of Joy Lineup Announced: Night of Joy 2017 at Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate 35 years of fun and fellowship with a return to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9. This year’s event will be hosted by contemporary Christian musician and 2016 Night of Joy favorite Matthew West, and it features an impressive lineup of top Christian musical artists over two nights, including:

  • Friday, September 8:TobyMac, MercyMe, Natalie Grant, Danny Gokey, Matt Maher, Colton Dixon, Rend Collection, Zach Williams
  • Saturday, September 9:

Tickets for Night of Joy 2017 will go on sale in June. More information on ticket prices, on-sale dates, entertainment and events will be released at a later date.

New! Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side Next Weekend: Thousands of runners from all over the galaxy are preparing to jump into lightspeed for the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side Weekend on April 21-23. The weekend will contain a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Kids Races and a Race Expo.
