Adventures by Disney Launches Tours Specifically for Multi-Generational Families

When my wife and I took our first Adventures by Disney trip last month to Costa Rica, we must have exclaimed dozens of times how much we thought our children would enjoy the trip. But even more than that, we couldn’t stop talking about how nice it would be to have our parents along, too. We must not be alone in that sentiment…

Just announced, Adventures by Disney is offering tours specifically tailored to the needs of groups traveling with multiple generations. Three special departures in 2013 include Italy (July 18), London/Paris (July 22) and Ireland (August 13).

Not only will guests travel with other families like them on these multi-generational departures, they’ll also have the luxury of traveling with a professional photographer on-hand throughout the adventure to capture memory-making moments. And as usual, these trips include two dedicated Adventure Guides, knowledgeable local experts, hands-on educational activities, VIP privileges, private ground transportation and extraordinary accommodations.

Here’s a quick glance at the trip highlights:

Viva Italia (Rome, Orvieto, Tuscany, Artimino, Florence and Venice, Italy)
July 18, 2013 – 9 Days

  • Walk through history on a tour of the Colosseum, the Forum and the Pantheon
  • Enjoy a privately guided tour of the Vatican City Museum
  • Get the family together for a private pasta-making lesson at a Tuscan estate
  • Discover La Serenissima on a private gondola ride in Venice
  • Create your own Venetian mask after a demonstration from a renowned mask-maker

Cities of Knights and Lights (London, Windsor, Stonehenge, Paris and Versailles)
July 22, 2013 – 8 Days

  • Enjoy a private tour of London on a red double decker bus
  • Discover how kings and queens lived at Windsor Castle
  • Journey to the English countryside and stay in a 19th-century manor house
  • Ascend the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe
  • Bike in the Versailles gardens
  • Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre Museum

The Emerald Isle (Dublin, Cashel, Killarney and Newmarket-on-Fergus, Ireland)
August 13, 2013 – 8 Days

  • Bike along the lush countryside of Killarney National Park
  • Sleep like royalty with a stay in Dromoland Castle
  • Kiss the legendary Blarney Stone and inherit the gift of gab
  • Make scones at an authentic sheep farm

It seems more and more families that I know are taking vacations with their entire family – kids, parents and grandparents. Are you?
